Square-Ring is
a loop of elastomer with square-shaped cross-section. In most static applications, it is a direct replacement for an o-ring and generally will perform a high pressure gasketing function as well as or better than an o-ring. It's considered an inexpensive, loose-tolerance alternative to molded o-rings.
